Study Regulations for Graduate Students
Master's Program in Software Engineering
Students must complete at least 24 credits required for graduation during their study period. First-year students are required to take "Seminar" (2 credits in total); first and second-year students are required to take "Thesis Research" (4 credits in total). Before graduation, students must complete at least three courses offered by this program. Students recommended for the five-year dual degree program, those applying for graduation in less than two years, or those with other special reasons approved by the Academic Committee are exempt from this limitation.
Regular Master's Program
Students must complete at least 24 credits required for graduation during their study period. Students in the Information Security division must take any two courses from the department's Information Security Related Course List. Students recommended for the five-year dual degree program, those applying for graduation in less than two years, or those with other special reasons approved by the Academic Committee are exempt from this limitation.
Master's Program in Artificial Intelligence
Students must complete at least 24 credits required for graduation during their study period. First-year students are required to take "Seminar" (2 credits in total); first and second-year students are required to take "Thesis Research" (4 credits in total). Before graduation, students must complete at least four courses from the program's Artificial Intelligence Course List. Students recommended for the five-year dual degree program, those applying for graduation in less than two years, or those with other special reasons approved by the Academic Committee are exempt from this limitation.
Ph.D. Program: Course Regulations
- 1. Ph.D. students must complete at least 18 credits to graduate; direct-track Ph.D. students must complete at least 34 credits (including 18 Ph.D. credits).
- 2. During the study period, first-year Ph.D. students are required to take "Seminar" (0 credits); first, second, and third-year students are required to take "Special Topic Seminar" (0 credits).
- 3. Applications for credit waiver and transfer are processed in accordance with the university's "Credit Waiver and Transfer Regulations" and the department's "Graduate Student Credit Waiver and Transfer Regulations."
- 4. Ph.D. students receiving scholarships/grants from the Ministry of Education are required to assist with two to three hours of recitation or experimental courses per week.
