-演講主題: 2026 AI 算力晶片大解密:從 AMD ROCm 生態系看全球電子業與外商求職策略

-演講摘要: This seminar gives students in computer science, engineering, and related STEM disciplines a broad view of cutting-edge technology, industry ecosystems, and multinational career development. Against the backdrop of the booming artificial intelligence sector, the diversification of AI hardware chips and software ecosystems has become an inevitable trend. This lecture will focus on the AMD ROCm (Radeon Open Compute) open-source platform to explore the strategic significance of "Open Source" in today's AI computing market. As an open and modular software stack, ROCm not only grants developers the flexibility to customize source code but also features powerful cross-platform portability (such as the HIP toolchain). This breaks the monopoly of proprietary closed ecosystems and drives technological innovation across global research institutions and the open-source community. At the same time, using this technology as an entry point, the seminar will provide an in-depth analysis of vertical integration and business models in the global electronics industry. Moving from upstream IC Design (Fabless), midstream Foundry, and OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test), to downstream System Integration, Server, and ODM/OEM manufacturers, this session will guide students through the interconnected global technology supply chain and the distribution of key career opportunities at each node. Furthermore, the lecture will introduce international academic collaboration models, including the AMD University Program (AUP). It will share how the industry supports universities in building autonomous and secure AI teaching and research innovation hubs through cloud computing support (such as AMD Instinct MI300 clusters), local AI PC hardware donations, free software licensing, and forward-looking collaborative research initiatives. Using the speaker’s extensive experience at multinational corporations, the seminar will explore the organizational culture, collaboration models, and talent requirements of foreign-invested tech enterprises. The lecture will address career topics most concerning students and explore recruitment and interview processes at multinational companies. It will provide concrete strategies and mindsets for crafting English resumes, passing Technical (Whiteboard) Interviews, and cracking Behavioral Interviews. Through this shared expertise, the seminar helps students connect campus learning with industry readiness, building next-generation tech talent with a global mindset and core technical expertise.
