Hardware Physical Cryptanalysis(硬體實體密碼分析)
We provide general technical consultation on this issue. We have losts of idea
and results on this issue. Be careful, do not spend much time and money to develop
a product/system but later on get broken easily by someone using just his own brain!
Issues covered in the "hardware physical cryptanalysis" include at least:
- Hardware fault cryptanalysis.
- Timing cryptanalysis.
- Power monitoring cryptanalysis. This was first published by Paul Kocher. But,
about half year before the above announcement, the similar idea was also proposed by
Prof. Sung-Ming Yen in June 1998 in a project research report partly sponsored
by the Industrial Technology Research Institute, Computer & Communication
Research Laboratories under contract G3-87052.
- Response based cryptanalysis. This technique is originally published by
Prof. Sung-Ming Yen.
- And some other surprising ideas for hardware cryptanalysis.
The most important thing is how to prevent the above attacks in an
efficient approach.
